Academic Commons Refresh

The Academic Commons in the Terrell Main Library (Mudd Center) is in the midst of a refresh, including new carpet and significant furniture re-arrangement. Access to the following amenities and/or service points may be impacted intermittently through the end of the summer. If you have questions about availability on a particular day, please email reference@oberlin.edu or call the circulation desk at (440)775-5016.
- Desktop computers and monitors are not on the floor. In the meantime, check out a circulating laptop or visit the Science, Art, or Conservatory libraries.
- The Research Help Desk is in a new permanent location near the circulation desk and the quilt.
- The CIT Help Desk has been temporarily relocated to the Writing Center area.
- The Library Learning Lab, Mudd 113 is currently accessible. If it becomes inaccessible anyone with a reservation will be notified.
- Group study rooms 101A and 112A are currently inaccessible, other main level group study rooms are currently available. If additional rooms become inaccessible, anyone with a reservation will be notified. Upper level study rooms will not be impacted.
- Printers are not currently available, visit the Art, Conservatory, or Science library to print.
- Scanners are currently available but area in front of them will need to be recarpeted this summer. The Art Library also has a KIC scanner.
- Research appointment meeting areas are currently available. If they become inaccessible anyone scheduled for an appointment will be notified of an alternate location.
- Azariah's Cafe is open intermittently depending on daily status of the bookstore construction. You may be able to order beverages for pickup even if the cafe space is closed. Check the transact ordering app for further details.
