Circulation Desk
Welcome to the Science Library!
Need to borrow books and reserves? Here's how:
REGULAR BOOKS
Just bring your items to the circulation desk with your OC ID. We'll ask you to tap your ID, then we will scan your items, desensitize them, tell you the due dates, and you're good to go. NOTE: We do not need to scan your ID when you return items!
COURSE RESERVES
- At the circulation desk, state you need a course reserve item, and include the COURSE NUMBER and BOOK TITLE in your request. We need BOTH!
- Course reserves lending system:
- Green: Can leave the library AND be checked out overnight as needed.
- Yellow: Can leave the library, but cannot be checked out overnight.
- Pink: Library use only! Cannot leave the library at all.
OTHER COURTESY ITEMS
- Laptops: We only circulate short-term loaner laptops. Simply request a laptop, and you will receive the laptop, charger, and a bag. Return all items to the desk.
- Chargers: Please state the type of charger that you need. We may ask for clarification.
- Calculators: We do not circulate graphing calculators, only scientific calculators. We also circulate a graphing calculator charger.
- Headphones: We provide both Bluetooth and corded headphones. Please request your preference at the desk.
- Other courtesy items: Simply request the item that you need!
