Video/DVD Viewing

Terrell Main Library

Three (3) viewing rooms:

  • Mudd 108B, equipped with 1 multi-region DVD player and 1 Region A BluRay player

  • Mudd 113 (Library Learning Lab), for classes or large groups, equipped with ceiling-mounted projector and power-operated screen. 

  • Mudd 403, equipped with 1 multi-region DVD player and 1 Region A BluRay player

To reserve Mudd rooms further in advance than is allowed by the booking system, email reference@oberlin.edu

Additional screening options:

  • External DVD drives that can play region 1 DVDs on most laptops available at the Circulation Desk.
  • External Blu-ray (Region A only) player for use on most laptops available at the Circulation Desk.
  • Portable multi-region DVD player available at the Circulation Desk (no computer needed).
  • Projection screens in most main level study rooms are compatible with viewing via laptop and external drive. 

Please use headphones (available at the Circulation Desk) when viewing DVDs in open areas of the building.


Art Library

DVDs can be viewed on public workstations with headphones (available at the Circulation Desk).


Visual Resources - Ward Art Building - #108

  • 1 DVD/VHS viewing room; accommodates up to 12 people
  • 16mm/8mm/Super 8 film projectors available for use in the viewing room
  • Contact Heath Patten (hpatten@oberlin.edu) for reservations

Conservatory Library

  • 2 viewing rooms with DVD, VHS, and laser disc players; each accomodates 4 people; inquire at the circulation desk to reserve a room
  • DVDs can be viewed on 8 public workstations with headphones (available for check out at the circulation desk)
