Friends of the Oberlin College Libraries Graduate Library School Scholarships for 2023

The Friends of the Oberlin College Libraries offer two scholarships for Oberlin graduates who are interested in pursuing graduate studies in librarianship or archives. Please see the descriptions below and the instructions on how to apply.

2023 Friends of the Oberlin College Libraries Graduate Library School Scholarship:

The Friends of the Oberlin College Libraries provide a graduate library school scholarship awarded to an Oberlin College graduate who has been accepted at an accredited school of library and information science. The scholarship recipient is selected by a committee composed of members of the Friends of the Libraries Council. The recipient would receive a $4000 scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year.

2023 Virginia Proctor Powell Florence Class of 1919 Friends of the Oberlin College Libraries Graduate Library School Scholarship:

The Virginia Proctor Powell Florence Class of 1919 Friends of the Oberlin College Libraries Graduate Library School Scholarship was established in 2019 for Oberlin graduates who are people of color and are interested in pursuing graduate studies in librarianship or archives. Applicants should be accepted at an accredited school of library and information science or archives graduate program. The scholarship recipient is selected by a committee composed of members of the Friends of the Libraries Council. The recipient would receive a $4000 scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year.
