For the Love of the Land: A Read-In
February 14, 2023
Join us for a Black History Month Read-In event on Thursday, February 16 from 4:30-5:30 pm in the Academic Commons (first floor of Mudd). The entire campus community is invited to participate in a public reading of excerpts from books that focus on Black people and nature. The titles selected will act as a way to open discussion on the importance of Black people in nature and how Black people have utilized land as a space for joy and prosperity despite subjugation.
No need to sign up or RSVP; just show up and read with us. You can bring a book of your own or check out one of ours!
