My syllabus says that a reading is on reserve. How do I access it?

Course reserves (or reserves) are materials that faculty have asked to have set aside for students in a particular course. They may include books, music scores, or other materials.

Physical reserves are kept at a library location and usually have short loan periods so that everyone in the class has a chance to use them. Physical reserve items circulate for 5 hours and cannot be renewed

Digital reserves are available through your courses's Blackboard site, either as uploaded files or links.

To find physical materials on reserve for your course, search Search.Libraries by course number, course title, or faculty name. Your results will show the items on reserve for your course, the library where each item is located (Terrell Main, Art, Conservatory, or Science), and whether an item is currently available or checked out.

Note the item's call number, then bring it to the circulation desk at the appropriate library. The Art Library has open reserves, meaning you can get the item yourself. At other libraries, staff will retrieve it for you.

If you need additional help finding course materials, circulation and research help staff are happy to assist.
