Overview
Are you a fan of eccentric art? Artists that reject commercialism and embrace change? If you are, consider visiting the Clarence Ward Art Library (located on the top floor of the Venturi Art Building) to experience “Overseas to Oberlin: A Global Mail Art Network,” a temporary mini-exhibition of student-curated works from Oberlin College’s collection of Mail Art. On display are works by 11 Mail Artists active during the 1960s-1990s. Oberlin College is grateful for the generosity of Mail Artists Reid Wood and Harley Francis for the existence of our collection.
These pieces are rarely on exhibit, so act fast! Exhibition is open through the Fall Semester, and the library is open:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:30am -11pm
- Friday: 8:30am - 5pm
- Saturday: 12:30pm-5:30pm
- Sunday: 12:30pm - 11pm
