About the Collection
The Milton J. and Mona C. Hinton Collection comprises approximately 163 linear feet of storage space, as well as 6.5 terabytes of digitized audio and video material.
The collection contains material created or compiled by Milt and Mona Hinton over the course of their lives, with the bulk of material created between the 1940s and 1990s. The collection was donated to Oberlin in 2013 by the executors of the Hinton Estate, Robert Bellamy, a nephew, and David G. Berger, a long-time friend who, along with Holly Maxson, co-directs the Milton J. Hinton Photographic Collection (see Additional Resources).
PDF inventories for selected series are included in the Inventory. To request access to the collection or to inquire about collection details, please contact Conservatory Library special collections staff.
